Buying Second Hand Tickets Safely

If you are wary about buying tickets second-hand from online ticket brokers or a ticket broker business, here are some tips from the National Association of Ticket Brokers (NATB) for doing business safely in the second hand ticket market:

Make sure you are doing business with a licensed ticket broker
Check to see if the broker is a member of the NATB
Do not use cash! Use a credit card, because it is a more secure form of payment
Verify the seats on a seating chart to make sure you are not misled into buying obstructed view seats or seats that do not exist
If you purchase a fake ticket, report it to the NATB immediately by calling the NATB hotline at 1-630-510-4594
Do not buy tickets from unsecured Internet sites
Do not buy tickets from anyone selling tickets on the street or in front of the venue
Do not work with ticket scalpers who are unregulated and unlicensed ticket sellers
